Policy & Regulation

Digital technologies are changing the reality of European broadcasting. Technology, programmes and business models change constantly and today commercial broadcasters offer our audiovisual content through different ways of distribution such as terrestrial, cable, satellite and Internet.

In addition to national and regional legislation, commercial broadcasters are regulated by European law. There is a wide array of policy initiatives impacting on commercial broadcasters ranging from infrastructure-related to content issues and including initiatives in the field of audiovisual policy, competition policy, copyright law and IPR, sport as well as convergence and telecommunications.
