TV still the most trusted medium by parents

The main findings of the very recent study entitled Kids TV Report tell us that the average time spent watching TV in Europe has gone up by 4 minutes in the first semester of 2015.

The report was conducted for the period between January and June 2015 and has made an in-depth overview of the children’s market in 5 European countries, notably Germany, UK, Spain, Italy and France.

The main findings tell us that the average time spent watching TV in Europe has gone up by 4 minutes in the first semester of 2015. In some countries, especially in Italy, the time spent watching TV even continues to increase. In Italy children between 4 and 14 watch TV on average 2:46 hours a day, a global rise since 2010.

The report also acknowledges the growth in online viewing, however despite this trend; TV is still considered to be a very popular form of media across all ages. Due to its historical presence in households and the habits related to it appear to be two main reasons why parents keep their confidence in the quality of TV programs and are therefore more inclined to let their children watch TV rather than content on other devices.
