On 21 November 2024, the Association of Commercial Television in Europe and Video on Demand Services in Europe (ACT) celebrated its 35th anniversary on World TV Day, a milestone in the history of broadcasting that has reshaped the entertainment, media and communications landscape.

The event, “TV & VOD’s Enduring Impact on European Societies, Economies & Cultures,” marked the official release of the ACT MANIFESTO 2024-2029. On this occasion, commercial TV and VOD service CEOs from across Europe gathered in Brussels to deliver a unified message.

The conference brought together industry leaders and European policymakers, featuring discussions on the media sector’s ongoing impact on European society, economy, and culture.
